Dog Name: Haze
Number: 676
Age: 14 Months (DoB 2/2017 est.) Sex: Female
Coat: Black and White
Eyes: Brown
Intake: 3/15/2018

Haze is a very young sweetie still in her puppyhood. She was surrendered to the shelter for reportedly nipping a child over food and not getting along with the resident dogs. We all know that puppies and children can be problematic since children do not know that the pup doesn’t like its whiskers pulled, eye poked or being startled while the child is only being naturally curious.

While we will never know the truth of the situation, we do know that she has not shown any issues with food and she absolutely loves to play with her four-legged foster siblings. However, to be cautious of the previous situation, she should not be adopted to a home with young children. Haze was very lovable and friendly with the shelter staff and everyone she met.

Haze is super active and still has a lot of Husky puppy energy. While she relishes chasing squirrels and hunting lizards to pass the time when she is not playing or posing for pictures, she also enjoys playing rough and tumble with other dogs. She has shown no issues when meeting new dogs, male or female.

She was also reported to be an escape artist, digging out of the yard but so far this behavior hasn't been observed - only time will tell. Haze shows her affection towards her humans by putting her paws on your shoulders and giving kisses. She will take treats gently from your hand, even in a line with her foster siblings.

When she is excited, Haze has a tendency to jump up on people so this behavior is something that should be worked on.

It doesn't appear that she needs to be crated when left alone. At night she will sleep in the room with her humans, but prefers the bed if allowed, as she likes to lay with her body leaning on yours. Haze seeks out attention from her humans regularly as if she is looking for reassurance and to have a sense of security. Her current foster home is the third home she's been in along with the shelter within her first year of life, so she needs a real, loving, forever home.

Haze is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. She is a strikingly beautiful girl who just wants to be loved and appreciated. She would prefer to have a four-legged sibling as well for a playmate and company when left alone. Having another dog in the home will help her settle in nicely. Make her yours, fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
