Kyna is a beautiful, middle aged Husky who was picked up as a stray and waited patiently at the Humane Society for her owners to claim her. Unfortunately, they never came and now she is in one of SHRF's loving foster homes. Kyna was not very happy in the shelter and definitely not a fan of blood work as she crawled under a cart (as seen in one of her pictures above) to hide from the shelter staff.
Since being in her foster home Kyna has quickly come out of her shell. She is very sweet and loving, good with other dogs and enjoys running around playing with them. She also likes to play a game of catch with tennis balls.
Kyna loves belly rubs and makes funny noises when you rub her back. She will even nip at your bum or give you an open-mouthed nudge to get your attention when she seeks it. She also has been known to try and take things right out of your hand if you have something she wants and Kyna is a Husky who knows just what she wants.
She walks well on leash, taking in the neighborhood as she goes and loves car rides.
She’s very food driven and needs to be kept back when you pour food into her bowl, otherwise she will try to knock it out of your hand in an attempt to get to it. Also, watch your fingers when giving her treats, as she is not very gentle. This is an area where she will need some training.
Kyna is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. She needs a real forever home where her loyalty and affection are appreciated and rewarded. Fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
