Dog Name: Misha II
Number: 666
Age: 8 Months - 1 Year (DoB 12/2016 est.) Sex: Male
Coat: Red and White
Eyes: Amber
Intake: 9/3/2017

Misha is a handsome, strong, exciting Husky boy puppy who was found wandering the streets of Miami just prior to Hurricane Irma. He was saved by a Good Samaritan dog rescuer who proceeded to check all the shelters, put up flyers and make a strong effort to find the owner; to no avail.

Not wanting to put the dog in a county shelter just prior to a hurricane coming the good sam reached out to us and we put Misha in a caring foster home while entering him on the lost and found page of our website, one of the top website pages for lost Huskies in the country. After over a month of being on that page without anyone claiming ownership he is now on our available for adoption page.

Misha is a snuggler when he lets you close enough to pet. His primary goal is to play with other dogs and run around having fun. While initially shy of humans, especially larger ones, he is learning how to socialize with humans and canines alike. He is full of puppy energy and listens really well when given corrections. He is also a talker, he will argue with you if he doesn't like something but will also give you guttural praise when you let him do things he likes.

He is very curious about everything and wants to inspect it all. He especially loves having a chew toy. While it will probably not be necessary as an adult, he is being crate trained and is doing very well with that. He appears to be very smart learning everything very quickly.

Misha is familiar with basic commands like; sit, down, stay, and shake, etc. He does not like to be on a leash especially if you are going in a direction he doesn’t want to go. It's more like a drag instead of a walk but he is getting better with reinforcement. That being said, once he is comfortable with his surrounding he does well; still pulls, but one would expect no less from a young Husky boy.

Misha is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. This boy is an empty slate who can be turned into the typical loyal and affectionate companion that Siberian Huskies have been bred for through the centuries. All he needs is a loving forever home in which to thrive; fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
