Dog Name: Neero
Number: 661
Age: 3 Years (DoB 7/2014 est.) Sex: Male
Coat: Black and White
Eyes: Blue
Intake: 7/5/2017

Neero came to SHRF from a county shelter so little is known about his background. He is a good boy, just a little rough around the edges because of his youth.

He is chock full of young Husky energy. Although Neero gets along well with other dogs he will try to establish himself in the hierarchy of the pack. However, he is respectful of other dogs if they let him know that they are in charge; at which time he will be submissive.

Neero has not indicated any propensity to be destructive when left alone, un-crated, although he doesn't mind the crate. When he is not crated be sure to pick up anything on the counters, especially food. He is quite smart and knows that is where food may be found.

If he occasionally seems to just disappear, you may need to look at not so obvious places where you may find him curled up in an attempt to get away from it all; a good example might be the laundry basket, as shown in one of the pictures above.

Huskies tend to be non-territorial, the world is their home. Being young and curious, Neero is an escape artist and if there is a weak place in the yard to get out by digging, climbing or jumping over a fence, he will find it. He will also bolt out the door right between your legs if given the chance.

Neero needs work when walking on lead as he will try to walk you if you let him. He gets so excited he wants to explore the whole neighborhood. He is a handsome boy who will catch all the eyes of passersby so expect some oohs and aahs when he’s walked down the street.

Neero is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. With a little bit of time, love and the right motivation he has the potential to be an ideal family member - it’s in the Husky genetic makeup.
