This strikingly handsome young Husky boy was previously adopted out from a shelter but unfortunately returned due to his previous adopters unable to successfully house break him. His SHRF foster is working diligently to accomplish that task and so far there have been successes and failures. He is learning he is supposed to go outside; so we are sure he will catch on soon.
Philos has proven that he is trainable since he already understands various commands: "sit", "stay", "down", "come", "go to your place" - goes to his crate, "leave it", "okay" - waits for okay before food, "spin" - spins clockwise, "twirl" - spins counter clockwise, "pose" - right paw over left, "cross" - left paw over right.
He walks well on lead and when told "let's go" he knows to walk beside you. Like any dog, he can get distracted when there is a lot going on in his environment. He also knows that he has permission to sniff when told "go sniff".
Philos is very loving and affectionate. He also rides well in the car, either looking at what is passing by through the window or laying his head down on you if close enough.
He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with his foster sister who is also a Husky
Philos is healthy, Heartworm negative, neutered and up to date on vaccines. He’s on the cusp of adulthood so he has many years to be the loyal, affectionate companion you always wanted. Fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
