What is Virtual Adoption? Well, it is a way to help save a Siberian Husky and "adopt" another. By virtually adopting one of our rescue dogs you can help with necesary medical care, food and housing. For only $50 a year you can "adopt" a Siberian from our doghouse and thus help save another bundle of fur. For your $50 you will recieve a picture and history of your adopted dog and will be notified when he/she is adopted. Click the button to your left.

In order to continue to help Siberian Huskies in need, and to provide information to Siberian Husky owners and prospective adopters (some of this information has been extremely helpful in training dogs that would otherwise be abandoned to the shelters and rescue system) we require donations. Each day many Siberian Huskies are turned in to animal shelters, and quite often their time there is limited (sometimes only 5 days, and some within the same day they are turned-in).

Many of these dogs are there simply because their owners have moved and were not able to find a place to live that allows pets, others are there because the owners did not have the means or take the time to train them, or did not realize how much work is involved in training such an intelligent animal.

Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida, Inc. saves these dogs from certain death, when their time runs out at the shelters, puts them into volunteer foster care, where they are fully evaluated, trained, their medical needs taken care of, as well as having them spayed and neutered, before they are placed in permanent loving homes. Our web site has enabled us to find more homes for dogs than ever before!

But all these things cost money! Although we ask for a donation of $300 per dog that is adopted through our program, rescued dogs' expenses often exceed the adoption donation. This happens especially when we have to board them at area kennels when a foster home is not available for them.

By donating money or your services to our great cause, you can help us with what we really want to do - save more of the dogs that are in desperate situations (such as abuse, heartworm cases, etc.)

• Help us build halfway houses that are equipped with fencing, crates, kennels, outbuildings, and air conditioning
• Help us obtain this equipment from all around the state
• Help us take in a heartworm positive or temporarily sick dog and afford the boarding required for a 4-6 week recovery period.
