Dog Name: Kaiba II
Number: 686
Age: 10 Months (DoB 9/1/2017) Sex: Male
Coat: Black and White
Eyes: Blue
Intake: 7/5/2018

Kaiba is young Husky boy, chock full of puppy energy, so you’d better be able to keep up. He found himself in need of a home without cats or other small animals, including small dogs. However, he LOVES kids and is very good with them. Kaiba was well cared for and had a very good upbringing. His new family should continue to reinforce his training and good manners, as well as ensure he has an outlet for all the energy through walks and play time. He understands when it's time to just relax and enjoy the cool a/c indoors.

He has rudimentary house manners and listens when corrected. He’s been taught to sit before he is given his food, sometimes enjoying watermelon as a refreshing treat. Kaiba knows sit, stay, leave, and no but he will test you at times so continued reinforcement is the way to go. Kaiba is a love bug. He will give you hugs and sit with you with his head in your lap. He is quite affectionate.

He also knows "go house" for when he is done going potty outside and it's time to come in and "go crate" at the end of the day for bed or when you must leave the house. He responds well to training with the use of a clicker. Kaiba is not a fan of getting wet but finds it entertaining if you splash water near him.

Kaiba is very inquisitive, investigating what his humans (large and small) are doing as well as anything he can get his paws and mouth on. He will take anything left lying on the floor or within reach on a table and start chewing on it. He will make a game of it when you try to take it from him. He will drop the object in your hand (once you catch him) by the "leave it" command.

He should not be given a blanket or any stuffed toys, including "crinkle" toys as he will tear them up and swallow them. He likes to play tug-of-war with his rope toy with either humans or other dogs. However, don't leave him unattended with it as he will eat the strings. His favorite thing to eat when out on walks is cigarette butts (yuck). He is crate trained to help with his chewing everything but, like most Huskies, he will probably not need the crate as an adult; much preferring to be snuggled near or with his humans.

Kaiba knows how to walk properly on lead next to you and sit when you stop walking. He will test you each day when going for a walk but don't buy into it. He does not travel very well in the car due to getting car sick but he’s still a puppy and will most likely outgrow that. He gets along well with dogs his own size, anything else he sees as prey. He is tall and very muscular. Once he fills out and finishes growing over the next few months, he will be on the larger side for a Husky.

Kaiba is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. This gorgeous boy would make the ideal addition to any family with Husky experience who can match his energy level. Fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
