Noku is a strikingly handsome young adult Husky, whose pictures do not do him justice. He is on the smaller side for a male and according to the vet could use a few more pounds on him to be at his ideal weight, which we are sure he will gain in no time once he settles in his forever home and fills out.
Noku was taken in along with Sophie (Husky #710) by a family with good hearts. They took both dogs into their home sparing them a trip to the shelter, which is what their original owner was going to do.
The family tried to adapt them to farm life but given the typical characteristics of a Husky with their high prey drive this is not a lifestyle suitable for them and the effort was unsuccessful. Both Noku and Sophie would go after the farm animals, including the cats. The family recognized they were not an appropriate home for Huskies and as a result they are now with SHRF.
Noku is friendly with other dogs and children. He does not appear to be bonded with Sophie so they can be adopted separately.
Noku is otherwise healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. He will do well in a home with no small animals around where he can become a loyal and affectionate companion. Fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
