Cam is a handsome but naughty Husky who was sent to the shelter as a result of two offenses due to his natural prey drive instincts kicking in. He was not entirely at fault since his owners did not properly secure him in the home and he found a way to escape (a typical Husky characteristic). Thankfully the shelter reached out to SHRF to take him in.
This is a very sweet boy who was very quiet during his time at the shelter and ate up all the attention he received from the staff. He loves playing with other dogs. He's taken to one of his foster brothers in particular, following him around everywhere he goes.
He walks well on lead and has no issues being in the crate when left unattended. In time he will most likely prove to not need the crate.
For a boy that did not get the proper indoor, nurturing family experience Cam is a very happy-go-lucky Husky an easy going personality. He also is full of young, Husky energy and zooms all over the place when he's not following his foster brother.
Cam is low Heartworm positive and has started treatment using the "slow kill" method. His adopter will be provided with instructions on this method as well as the Heartworm medication. He is otherwise healthy, housebroken, neutered, current on vaccines and microchipped. This boy is almost a clean slate and with positive reinforcement training and love will make one lucky family a wonderful, loyal companion.
