Rebel came to SHRF as an owner surrender due to her owner no longer being able to care for her for various reasons and wanted to do what was best for Rebel. She is very friendly with everyone she meets and is also good with children.
Rebel gets along well with other dogs; in fact she has taken to chasing her foster brother around the house for fun. She has lots of Husky energy, typical of most Huskies her age and needs to have regular exercise to help burn that energy off.
Rebel also enjoys the water. She is great in the bathtub and if there is a kiddie pool at the dog park she is the first one in it with both paws. She was previously able to play in a kiddie pool with her human sibling so knows how much fun they are to splash around or to cool down in summer heat. She is known to be an escape artist so caution should be used to avoid her finding potential opportunities to get away.
Rebel loves car rides as she hopes it means a trip to the dog park. She doesn't talk much unless she wants your attention and then you get the cutest little low-pitched howl. She is also a cuddle bug and loves to lie next to you on the couch with her head on your lap.
Rebel is crate trained but does not need to be crated when left alone as she has proven herself to be non-destructive. When you come home, you will usually find her lying on the sofa. She is not completely housebroken yet and has had occasional accidents, but her foster family is working on that with her. Rebel learned the sit command quickly and will likely pick up more just as quickly.
Rebel is healthy, Heartworm negative, spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. This is a fun girl who will make your life better; fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of this page, today.
